In order to be admitted to Edi, students must be selected by a commission based on their portfolio and background.

Please note that the number of applications we receive each year continues to grow, making the selection process increasingly competitive. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you pay close attention to all required documents and submit the best portfolio possible, ensuring the acceptance committee gets a clear understanding of the type of student you are.

STEP 1. APPLICATION AND ADMISSION

• Nomination of the Erasmus Incoming Students by their coordinator
• You will receive info by email. You must prepare the following documents:
  1. Letter of motivation
  2. A resume/CV
  3. Portfolio (up to 50Mb)

• Acceptance Committee
• Communication of Results/Letter of Acceptance

STEP 2. BEFORE ARRIVING (once the student has been accepted)

• Learning Agreement, signed by the three parties OLA online learning agreement

STEP 3. ARRIVAL

• Certificate of Arrival
• Final Learning Agreement (before one month after arrival)
• Copy of Document of Insurance

STEP 4. DEPARTURE

• Certificate of Attendance
• Transcript of Records

Applications for the first term or the entire year must be submitted by May 31st.

If your chosen period of stay is the second term, the deadline is November 15th.

At Edi the studies taught are degrees in Design (4-year plan | 240 ECTS) in 4 different fields: Fashion, Interior, Graphic and Product design.

The academic year is divided into two terms. The first term runs from the beginning of September to the end of January, while the second term lasts from the end of January to the end of May. Additionally, there is a period for extraordinary exams in June.

At Edi, classes are taught in Spanish, therefore it is strongly recommended to know some Spanish basics before coming (B1 level recommended).

Most of our teachers and our students speak English and they will be able to help you in case of doubt or further explanation.

For those of you who need additional instruction in Spanish, Edi offers the opportunity to take a free Spanish course upon arrival.

Students who require a visa should reach out to both the sending and receiving institutions for support if needed.

Students from European Union member states should also possess the European Health Insurance Card, which is required for medical assistance during your stay. Otherwise, you must have personal insurance that covers your stay.

Unfortunately, Edi does not offer an accommodation service.

However, once you are accepted as an incoming student, you will receive specific information to help you find a place to stay.

Edi has a Buddy program designed to assist exchange students with social and academic activities at Edi. Once accepted, each incoming student will receive the contact details of Edi students who are willing to help with these matters.

Once the request is accepted, you must arrange with our Erasmus Coordinator the suitability of the proposed dates. Vacation periods, as well as exam and evaluation periods, are avoided.
Erasmus Coordinator will put you in touch with the relevant professors to coordinate and plan your stay.
