Function, Emotion, and Experience
Product Design goes beyond form and function. It’s about creating objects that engage with people, solve needs, and build connections. Good design can be lyrical, evoking beauty and emotion; it can have humour, surprising and challenging expectations; or it can be empathetic, intuitively understanding the user’s everyday gestures.
Each object tells a story, and the designer is the one who writes it with materials, ergonomics, and meaning.
Practical Methodology
Our teaching system is based on hands-on experience and project-based learning.
Specialisation and Interdisciplinarity
The compulsory subjects are common to all four specialisations and provide the fundamental tools for the practice of design. The specific product design courses allow you to specialize in your discipline. Through elective courses and interdisciplinary programs, you can explore and work in other design fields.
Cultural Extension
Alongside compulsory training, Edi regularly organises workshops, courses, talks, and conferences.
Internships in Companies
During the final years, you will complete external internships (PEx) at the best interior design studios and companies. This will be your first step toward entering the job market.
Open Workshops
In the workshops for photography, audiovisual media, computer tools, and prototyping, you can develop your academic projects.
Personalized Attention
The student-to-teacher ratio is just 15 students per class.
Upon completing the Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, you will have the knowledge and skills required to project, analyze, research, and determine the physical properties and qualities, as well as the symbolic and communicative values, that should characterize your creations. You will define the form, configuration, quality, functionality, value, and aesthetic, social, and environmental significance of the products.
